Chores

Now I’m sure with a title that says ‘Chores’, you would think that I’m going to say that I’ve been so busy doing chores lately. Well, it’s confession time. The weather tonight after work was a kind of sleet or rain and the best word to describe it would be yucky. This word is probably not the most technical term that you’ve ever heard, but it’s the best word that I can think of. So when I got home, I let Reno out and had very good intentions of feeding the cows and chickens. But after I got inside the house and had some chips and salsa for lunch, the idea of going outside to do chores was less and less on my brain. Then as I was laying around, all of a sudden I could hear Daryl’s pickup pulling into the drive way. And you know how you instantly think that you should look busy? Well that went through my mind and then I thought maybe I should hurry and go out and do the chores so he wouldn’t know that I was just laying around. But then I knew that he would catch on that I wasn’t working very hard, so I decided to wait and see just how this was going to play out . Luckily he said that he’d go out and do the chores. I’m thinking tomorrow I better not be so lazy and get out there right after work and check on all the animals. And while I’m at it, I think I better have Reno do some exercise while we’re outside.

So checkout our farm watch dog. I’m thinking she’s getting pretty comfortable in the house.  She’s starting to think that the spot in front of the fireplace is her spot. Hummm… we better stop this right now!

She doesn't look like much of a farm dog does she?

Also our chickens are starting to lay again. Yea! I bought them new chicken layer feed last week and it looks like it’s kicking in.

We've got eggs again!
