With the corn in, I wasn’t sure what Daryl was doing outside. I mean if I was him I’d watch some good movie on TV to celebrate that the corn was all in. But he wasn’t anywhere around and to be honest I wasn’t too worried either. (sounds bad doesn’t it) I figured he was at the other farm doing some kind of farm stuff. And when he came home around 10:00 pm I was right. He was working on cultivating the fields to get them ready for planting beans. He’s hoping that he’ll get the beans picked up tomorrow and possibly plant them soon.
As for me? Well I did some errands and then William was home. He’s done with another year of college and he’ll be home for the summer. Some days the day just drags you know? But when I look at the kids and see how fast they are growing I think just where in the world did that time go?
For supper I had some chicken wings in the freezer that I wanted to use up so I made a recipe that’s easy and good.
Japanese Chicken Wings
2 lbs chicken wings
½ cup soy sauce
½ cup sugar
¼ tsp crushed red pepper
1 clove garlic, crushed
¼ cup honey
Marinate chicken in the above ingredients overnight
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Line a 9×13 pan with tin foil or parchment paper and put chicken on it
Bake for about an hour or until chicken is done.
And now that suppers over I wonder what movies are on TV?
