OK, so how depressing is that title? But the weather continues to be gloomy and rainy and of course terribly windy! With all the bad weather around these past few days, I saw a radar shot of what was happening yesterday and I just couldn’t believe it. Around the spring time you really notice the weather and watch the news radar because you just never know when something is brewing – but have you ever seen a radar that had black on it? And for how bad it looked, it sounded like it was terrible! So I guess it could always be worse right?
We called William late last night to make sure that he was OK with the storms that passed through and he said it wasn’t that bad where he lives. And tonight we had a chance to talk with Kyle and he’s also doing well. Whew! It’s kind of stressful being a Mom sometimes you know?
On a lighter note I just have to tell you what happened to Daryl and I Saturday night. We were at the wedding on Saturday and ended up the night hanging out with some friends after the dance. Well when we got home I think we both said it at the same time ‘Oh No’ We saw Reno was out of the barn and laying on the rug in the yard. This is not cool. It’s not that bad for her to be out, but where is Kaiser? He’s hard to keep track of when you’re watching him, much less when your’e not! So Daryl and I headed to the barn and walked in. The light was burnt out on the one side of the stanchions so it was a little harder to see if he was still in the barn or not. Then as we poked our head through the stanchions to see if we could find him, all of a sudden Kaiser went tearing through our legs and right smack in front of our faces was Scarlet. For some reason she also got out. But I’m telling you it was so funny because it was like a 3 Stooges movie. She put her face just right in front of ours at the perfect time and we laughed and laughed. And even now when I think about that red face with her big eyes just inches away it still makes me laugh. Now it turned out that she pushed her gate open and got out, and as far as Reno – we found out she was pushing this one door open and sneaking outside too. It’s almost a full time job just with these three – I couldn’t imagine if we had more calves on the farm!
