You couldn’t have found better weather than we had today. We had low 80 degrees with no humidity. Perfect! It was a good day to keep working on outside projects. After doing some things in the house, I headed outside to paint. I painted with white paint today and was able to get the LP tank all cleaned up and also paint some windows and a fence. We cut down some of the branches that were in the way and the LP tank took 2 coats, but I think it was worth the time and it turned out really well.
Then I spent the afternoon mowing lawn. You would think that in August the lawn would just be about done with growing – but today I spent the afternoon cutting it again. When William was waiting for the rider lawnmower, he started to weed the garden. It is so out of control I just hope we can save it! The push lawnmower gave me some trouble and the cord pulled out of the case. So I just used the weed eater to trim up some bad spots. The weed eater is a weird piece of equipment. If you don’t use it very often, it seems that it just don’t work very well. But if you use it and run the heck out of it – it’ll run really well. I was glad that it ran good today and after I restrung the cord 3 times, I called it good. Daryl was going to look at the mower later.
We had an electrician come today to mark the lines by the water pump before we dig and since he was here we asked him to give us some ideas on the farrowing house. It sounds like we’re going to take all the wires down and start over. The light fixtures that we have in there now will have to get replaced, so we’ll just have to take them down. We laughed when we looked at the picture that I took of Daryl cutting the wires for William tomorrow. He looks like – should I cut this or not?
