We were all pretty tired on Sunday, so in the morning we really didn’t get too excited about anything. But around 10:00 we thought that we better get something done. Or at least look like we were doing something! Daryl’s plan was to get the hay moved from the other farm and stack it in the shed. So while he was working on that, I got caught up on stuff around the house and got ready to go to town. I needed to get some errands done, and today was the perfect day to do it. Because William had taken the scrap metal back the other day, Daryl was able to use both hay racks to load up the hay. It worked really good for him, and he was done with it in no time. As for me, I was able to find what I was looking for in town and then I went to Sam’s Club. And guess what? I broke the biggest rule of all! I went to get groceries hungry. To be honest, while I was walking through the parking lot to go to the store, my stomach was actually growling. Now I do know better, but I thought that I would be able to control any splurge spending on junk. Well….. I started out really good. In my cart was a huge pack of paper towels, some vegetables, and some butter. Not so bad right? Well as I was walking through the aisles I could feel myself starting to cave. By the time I got to the cash register, I had a box (yea, a box!) of salted nut roll candy bars, an 8 pack of mints which will last us for probably 6 months, and the worst of all was a container of cheese balls that you could serve at a family function for about 25 people! But, with William heading back to college, I’m hoping that he’ll take most of it back with him. My Mom stopped over for a little bit tonight, and then off to the golf course Daryl and I went to play a couple of holes. We haven’t golfed together for a couple of years now, and we both decided that it’s something that we need to do more often.
