Keeping in the Christmas spirit

This afternoon we had a chance to go and listen to William singing at his college in Ames for their Holiday  Concert. We had great seats, but just my luck where the microphone was staged it blocked my view of William. OK, I’ve seen him sing before that’s true, but I tried to see if it blocked anyone one else that I could tell in the choir.. and it didn’t. It seemed like he moved over a little bit during the second song, and then I was much happier. I know it’s pretty silly to have to see your child singing, but for some reason we all strain our necks and sit a little taller just so we can watch them during the performance. Well, at least I do, and I’m guessing you might have done that once or twice also!

But the concert was really fun and we even had a chance to talk with Kyle tonight on the phone while driving home. It seems like even though the weekends are getting more and more packed with things to do, we really have been enjoying ourselves lately with our little road trips.

Just hanging out in the lobby after the concert

Now to start looking to see about getting some cheap airline tickets to go see Kyle in a musical that he’s in. The only thing that worries me is that his musical is in February… and in Canada!
