Labor Day weekend – Sunday

What a beautiful day today was. We didn’t have anything planned and because it was so nice out again today, I didn’t want to spend it inside the house. William was planning on coming home some time after dinner, so I grabbed my bicycle again this morning (I know – can you believe it?) anyway, I got my bicycle ready and headed out for a nice bike ride. Daryl wasn’t interested in going, so this was the first time I did this route out in the country by myself. I think riding on the bike trails and riding on the roads both have their advantages. On the bike trails you don’t have to worry about cars and you really don’t have to work too hard. The paths are usually pretty flat and you can just ride at a really nice pace. On the regular roads you have to watch out for cars, but it gives you a much more of a challenge. Today there was a little wind and of course when I saw some people standing outside, this is where I had to ride up the hill into the wind. But you get to see much more landscape when you’re riding on the roads. Oh well, I was  just impressed that I rode two days in a row!

William was able to come home this afternoon, and we’ve been trying not to smother him too much with questions about school. After the third load of laundry that he threw into the  washer, we headed out for some supper. We really had a nice visit and after supper? Off to his girlfriends house he went of course. He’ll be going back tomorrow to his dorms in the  morning because he’s got some homework that he has to get done before Tuesday, but I sure was glad that he was able to make it home at least just for a little bit to touch base. Now I just have to get some food made for him to bring back with him!
