It’s a Small World

It truly is a small world. Kyle has been trying to figure out what to do with his cat these past few weeks because where he’s going to be living when he goes to college won’t allow pets. So we all know how much his cat means to him, and not having any home for it was really hard.

Kyle’s coming home in October for a classmates wedding that he’s going to sing for – but still couldn’t find anyone who would take his cat for a just a couple of months.

So that brings me to last weekend. I went up North with the girls fishing and a friend of the girl who owns the cabin came up a little bit later than we did. Even though this was the first time that I met her, my friend had talked about her in the past. They’ve known each other and have been friends for a long time now. And during the weekend she started to talk about her upcoming trip to Vermont. So that got me thinking – could she possibly be going anywhere near where Kyle lives? And if so, do you think she could bring his cat home? Well it turned out that they were ending their trip in New York and it wasn’t going to be too far from him. Now I knew that she was a dog person because she brought her dog up to the cabin with her, but I thought I might as well take a chance. After she called the other girl that she was going on her vacation with – she said she’d do it! She also said that the girl that she was going with is trying to make plans to go to China next year. When my new friend heard this, she said that she knew that Kyle had both gone to college and taught in China and knew how to speak and write Chinese. So now this lady is excited to meet Kyle and maybe get some ideas on where to go and what to do in China when they meet in a couple of weeks. I guess  you just never know how things are going to work out sometime or who you’re going to meet.

Earlier this week I was in the Good Will store and saw a pet carrier. I wasn’t sure what we would do with it… but it was only $15 and I thought that I’m sure we’d use it sometime. I guess it’s going to the East Coast!

Kind of weird to see a new pet carrier at a Good Will store
