What a good sound outside. It’s been raining on and off now for about 1 1/2 hours and it came just in time! The crops were really starting to curl up from all the heat and crazy wind, and it was really making some farmers nervous. I’m not a very good judge of how much rain we’ve got, but I do know that the first 45 minutes it just soaked into the ground. Looks like tomorrow afternoon I’ll be mowing the grass.
Today I did tons of errands, and it was one of those days when it seemed like everything was going wrong. It didn’t take me too long to get crabby on a day like today. I had a nail in the tire that needed to get fixed, they screwed up a some pictures that I ordered, they didn’t have the posters done that I drove 40 miles to get, and then I ended up the night breaking a new photo frame. Yup, I was crabby. You know it’s bad when you can just feel it inside you. But once I was home, and had ‘most’ of what I started out the day to get, it did get better. I worked on pictures again and also the one wall in the Roadhouse. Daryl ended up working a 15 hour shift (yuck!) and when he got home, he found William and I watching the rest of a movie that we started last night in the Roadhouse. It’s pretty comfortable in there with the setup that we’ve got going on.
Tomorrow the satellite guy is coming. I wanted to get all my errands ran today because the appointment is anywhere between noon and five o’clock, but I was supposed to be available anytime in the morning. What? Good thing this is tomorrow and not today. I’m afraid it would have made me even crabbier! But we’re anxious for him to come and see just what’s the matter with it. We had a couple of shows taped, but you know you can only watch them so many times. I think we have maybe four 1/2 hour shows that we’ve been watching. Anyway, we’re beginning to know them by heart, so it’s time to have it fixed. But I’m telling you that it’s also been kind of nice also without having the TV on all the time. I’m not sure that everyone would agree to that comment though.
