This year on Mother’s Day it was to say the least very stressful! I was still painting the farm buildings outside, getting food lined up for William’s graduation party, having Baccalaureate and Commencement, Kyle was home and it was the first that we met his girlfriend, and just ‘stuff’. I’m sure you’ve all been in these type of situations. So when it was Mother’s Day, the boys gave me a simply wonderful gift. They gave me a day at the local Spa and then they also made the appointment. At first I knew that this was a wonderful gift, but I guess I didn’t really know how much I’d enjoy it until I actually went. So since they had the appointment set, my next goal was to try to get my feet looking better. It was like when you go to the salon to get your hair fixed and we spent the morning fixing up your hair. But my feet always look bad, so I bought some stripper stuff the other day and was using it, along with my foot sander, and a foot stone, just trying to make them look a little bit more presentable.
So today was the day, and even though I have always loved what ever the boys have given me in the past for gifts, I think this one tops them all. My package today included a 90 minute massage, an hour pedicure, and and hour manicure. Oh ya! She didn’t say too much about my feet when she was doing the pedicure, which was good. But I can never ever remember telling the boys or Daryl what I would want for any gift because I think if it’s a gift, you should always like it no matter what it was. But after today when I got home, I told William that this is something that I would like EVERY Mother’s Day! He just smiled. I’m not sure if that’s a yes or a no… but I guess I’ll find out next year.
