Just hanging out on Sunday

It’s funny how things can change so fast isn’t it? I think that’s where I’m at right now in my life. It wasn’t really that long ago that I had a paint brush in my hand painting, then getting ready for the graduation party, to now. Thinking what I want to do and not thinking how I’m going to get it all done. So today after church we had a Graduation Brunch to go to, so off to that we went. It was really nice and our plan was to spend some time visiting and then head out for a bicycle ride. But once we got there,  we knew that we weren’t going to have this a short visit. It was one of those parties that you kind of knew everyone, so we spent part of the time just sitting around with friends visiting. Then off to our house to get our bicycles ready. I put them in our barn so they were out of the way of the graduation party. Otherwise I was keeping them in our Roadhouse (which by the way worked very well!). But since they were in the barn, a little bit of soap and a wash cloth was needed to get them ready for any ride. After a quick clothing change – off with our bikes to spend the day riding. But just as we were pulling in with the truck and bikes in the back, it started to sprinkle .. and heavy sprinkles.One of those that you actually need your wind shield wipers for. Now I’m not afraid to ride in the rain, but it’s for sure not my first choice. So after sitting there wondering what we should do, we went back home for a couple of hours to see what the weather was going to do. It did eventually get better and back in the truck to take our bikes to town for a ride. We usually take them to town because the gravel roads are killers with our bicycle tires. It was a really nice ride and with our big bike ride not that far off, I’m thinking that I need to get my back side ready! The ride today proved that this is exactly what I should be doing:)
