Isn’t it funny that you can be so tired and then you decide that you have to get something done so you better get up and get to it. Then in the middle of what you’re doing, you get your second wind and suddenly the job isn’t so bad? Well, that’s what happened to me tonight. I sat down after we finished putting on the rest of the epoxy on the Roadhouse floor, and I knew that I had a couple of more things that needed to get done yet. So I got up and thought I’d better start with the dishes from supper. Then it happened. I got my second wind. Yea for me! After dishes were done, I had to make a couple of pans of candy for a delivery tomorrow. I tried a new recipe and even though it turned out pretty good – I’m not sure that I’ll be making them again. It wasn’t hard, but just really time consuming. Then after the candy was done, I scrubbed the floors and washed eggs. So it was around 11:30 and I was cleaning our bedroom when I thought as long as I was on a roll, I should update the blog.
Like I said, we finished the epoxy on the floor in the Roadhouse and we’re happy how it turned out. We tried to get one more box of the epoxy last week, but no one had the kind that we were looking for. We wanted it just in case we would run out. So we thought we should be close and man we couldn’t have gotten it any closer. We had less than a cup of the epoxy left after we finished. Not bad, and I guess we didn’t need another box after all. The weather is so wet, so it’ll take a little bit more time to dry. Then we just have to lay the carpet and all the basics of the Roadhouse will be done. Can you believe it? It only took us a year to get it all done 🙂 I have been keeping up with taking pictures of the progress and hopefully this weekend, I’ll be taking the last of the inside pictures and I can order my photo book of the transformation of the Farrowing House that turned into a Roadhouse. Kinda cool.
I see that I haven’t added a new recipe for awhile, so this weekend I’ll try to add the cinnamon roll recipe that I got the other day. It’s one of those ‘dumping’ kind and I don’t know about you, but those are my favorite kind to have around the kitchen.
