Lucky the peacock

Daryl had the pickup and his Chevelle sitting outside today and the peacocks were on the move. Now they’ve sat on both Daryl’s pickup and the car before and when that happens, it’s not been a very favorable situation for the peacocks. But with his car sitting out these past couple of days while we’re working on the Roadhouse – it made me very nervous. So this morning when I walked outside, I could see the peacock sitting on one of the tractors, and it seemed like he was checking out the truck. Daryl ended up putting the Chevelle inside the garage just to be safe – and I’m thinking that was a good idea. Lucky has used up quite a few of his lives so far, and if he sat on the Chevelle, I’m thinking that all we’d find would be some white feathers in the yard.

Lucky just hanging out this morning

We worked on more of the floor today, and we were hoping to get it all done. But the more that we thought about the front part, we decided to wait until the cement was done. We thought that when we put in the new cement, it might make a mess by the front door and we didn’t want to wreck the paint job. So we’re hoping now that we’ll get done with painting the floor by next weekend. I think I’d better say, that we’re going to get done by next weekend. Positive thinking, right?

Little kitty is still in the house tonight. I put her outside today in a kennel because she would drive you crazy. For being so small, she sure can make a lot of noise. I just checked on her because she was making an awful noise. It turned out that she was trying to chew through the metal bars on the kennel. I think tomorrow she’s going to get a bath and then hang out outside again. I’ll have to check on the other little kitties in the barn to see if I can find them. I looked at the bag of cat food that I put up in the hay loft, and saw that it was being eaten. Now I’m not sure if the little kitties are doing this or if other cats are. But either way, I’m hoping that their mother cat was one of them and saw her kittens. They are too hung to survive without her.
