Kyle is on his way back to Canada and it’s kind of quiet in the house tonight without him. But this morning he filled the car up with gas, and left around 8 am. Both him and William got new Garmin’s for Easter, and Kyle said that he’s used his a couple of times and he likes it. I was so worried about him traveling back by himself, but it turned out that he was fine driving through Chicago and Detroit. For a kid that hardly drove anywhere in the past 7 years – he sure wasn’t scared about driving today. We bought him a ‘pay as you go’ phone and it has been working good. He called us a couple of times so far tonight, and I am sure a great believer that cell phones are a good thing. He’s gotten as far as Canada tonight and he can even use his phone there. He can only use it to call to people in the US, and as long as we are on that list – it works great for us. He wanted to know why we were so worried about him driving, and I said that we’re the parents and it’s what we do the best. Someday he’ll know why we worry so much, but for now he’s just called from a hotel in Canada and is about 4 hours to where he wants to go. I think we’ll all sleep good tonight.
