I told Daryl tonight that I think that the more you try to get done the more that I seem to get behind. I think mood must be because of the CRAZY wind that’s blowing around here today. I have no idea on how much it’s been gusting up to, but everything… and I mean everything, is blowing around in the yard today. I have no idea on why the dogs are laying on the front porch, because even the outside patio rug blew off! If I was them, I’d be laying in the barn where there isn’t any wind at all. And the cows have been really loud today because they’re locked up on the cattle yard again. I locked them up yesterday because they got out twice and I couldn’t find where they were sneaking out. Good thing that they’re tame, because if they see you and you’re carrying a pail – they come a running. So putting them in was no big deal at all. I asked Daryl if he’d check the fence to see if he could find out where they’ve been getting out, and he said he couldn’t see anything either. The one cow that’s in this group we raised from a baby, and we could never keep him in either. He would just walk under this one electric fence that we have, and then have a good old time. I think he showed the others how to get out, and now I’m afraid that we’ll never keep them in!
I picked up the flowers that I am using in my flower boxes and planters this morning. I wanted to get them planted and kept in the greenhouse until next week – but instead I spent part of the afternoon at the repair shop. When I was just leaving the flower shop the car was making a really bad noise and I was hoping it was the belt. It had made noises in the past and especially when it rains. So the car guy said that it was the belt, but everything pretty much has to come out from under the hood to get this belt off, and even the front tire has to come off. He said that the belt wasn’t too bad, just kind of loud. I suppose next week I’ll have to take it in to get fixed.
I had someone today come and switch out our satellite box for an upgraded High Definition one. ‘They’ say that once you see your show in high definition you won’t want to watch anything else. I sure can tell the difference, so we’ll see what everyone else thinks.
I also worked on Daryl’s birthday gift for awhile today. I usually ask him to guess what it is, and he has never guessed correctly yet. This year – my money is on me that there is no way that he’ll ever guess in a million years. I have a little bit more work yet on it, and then I’ll have to see on getting it wrapped up for next week.
As far as William’s graduation party plans – cakes ordered, invitations need to be started this week – but list is done, yard flowers figured out and bought, carpet in the Roadhouse – but we have to figure out what to do with the rest of the floor yet, and the last photo book that I’ve made for William came in the mail today. Yea! I even saw a pattern that I like at the flower shop today, and I’m hoping that I can make a patio similar for us yet just like it.
