The green table and the electrician

When both Daryl and William left this morning, I knew that it was going to be warm outside so I opted for my shorts and a shirt instead of some heavy winter clothes. Now sometimes I get teased about what I might be wearing, and this morning could have been one of those times. My shirt was a long sleeved striped orange t shirt and I grabbed some shorts to go with it. OK, my shorts were one of my shorter red shorts, but who’s going to care? The cows? I knew that the cow yard was going to be messy, so on go my chore boots. At this point I was thinking to myself, man I sure hope no one comes when I’m dressed like this. So I got chores done and was just walking to the house when the electrician came pulling in. I was really happy that he came, but then I thought how I must look. He didn’t say anything about it, but I said that I knew that it looked pretty bad and he just laughed. I was hoping that he didn’t see the pocket knife that I stuck in my bra strap, but if he did.. it was just too late at this point.

With the electrician at our house, he asked if I could help him with maybe some of the lights that need to be held while they’re getting installed. I said sure, and that I’d check in on him to see if he needed other help. Well as the day went on, the only thing that he needed my help with was that he needed some more screws for the installation and I ran into town to the lumber yard to pick some up.

Yea! The electrician is here!

While I was just kind of hanging out today to see if our contractor needed anything, and the weather was absolutely perfect, I worked on that green steel table the I got from the garage sale the other day. In the picture it doesn’t show the top, but it’s painted black. I’m happy how it turned out, and soon it’ll have a new home in the Roadhouse.

The new table

I asked Daryl tonight if the cows were supposed to be out in the pasture already, because I thought it seemed a little bit too early for that. The ground is too wet and there really isn’t much grass for them. He said that they weren’t supposed to be off the cow yard floor and that they needed to get back in. I guess they pushed over a gate to get out. They are pretty tame by now, so it wasn’t a problem at all to get them locked back up. I just went into the cow yard and called them 🙂

hey should be feeling a little guilty!

The electrician is coming again tomorrow and before I go out for chores, I’m for sure going to be looking for a matching outfit tomorrow morning!
