Moving sand

Today we moved the sand into the Roadhouse so it’ll be ready for the contractor tomorrow. The weather wasn’t too bad outside and inside the building it was pretty warm. It didn’t even take as long as I thought it would. The contractor is coming pretty early tomorrow morning and Daryl was planning on coming home from work to talk to him. I sure hope he can make it home because I’m not sure that I’d have the answers to the questions if any come up. When I was inside the Roadhouse today, I was thinking that it was only around 7 months ago that William was scooping out the gutters  and now we’re filling them back in again.

I also burnt trash this morning and I checked out to see if Slick was still inside the barrel .. and still dead. Yup, he was dead. And now he’s also cremated.

We had a chance to talk with Kyle tonight and he said that it is really cold in Korea. He said that the government increased the cost of the heating fuel, so the businesses are keeping everything pretty cold inside. It couldn’t be as bad as when he was in China though. When he was taking classes at the University, he wore a hat, coat, and gloves to class because it was that cold inside. I told him to hurry and come home and we’ll have the fireplace going and he can spend the afternoons there. He’s planning on being home the way it sounds now mid March and I can’t wait!

We had some cereal in the cupboard and I wanted to use it up. I found an easy recipe that you can make in less than 3 minutes and it’s not too bad. It’s not as good as my sister-in-laws recipe that she makes with the cereal, but if you need something fast – this will work. I also made some cinnamon rolls and banana bread. I must not be thinking that swimming suit season is just around the corner!
