I kind of felt lost today. I know that I’m not going to paint outside all week, so when I woke up this morning I was way out off of my routine. I spent the morning cleaning the house, washing windows, and taking care of a couple of things that I needed to. One of the things that I found out this summer was that I better have a list of things to get accomplished for the day otherwise I feel like I’m kind of walking around in the house in circles. No list was made for today, so that explains why it was such an odd day.
When Daryl came home from work to get cleaned up to go to music practice, I was just pulling some chocolate chip cookies out of the oven. I sent them along with him and I sure hope he brought them to practice at school and doesn’t leave them in the pickup tonight. Otherwise the dogs will really be my friends tomorrow.
We were so ready for this big snow storm that was supposed to happen today. They were predicting up to 2 inches of snow and Daryl spent quite a bit of time putting the tractors and wagons away for the winter. It was a good job done, but it didn’t even rain today much less snow. It was a little wet, but nothing that I was expecting. This is a good thing because it’ll let my paint dry even more! Now watch, it’ll snow like crazy tonight. 🙂
As for the painting projects – the top of the Farrowing House (aka: Roadhouse) looks kind of bad. I never noticed it before, but it’s supposed to be white and all the paint is off it. Now it’s just grey metal. Daryl wants to see if we can get it painted yet this year, but I’m thinking that we’ll have to wait until next spring. But what I do want to get painted yet this year is some boards to put up on a new cow yard fence. The fence is in bad shape and at first the comments were to put up some metal gates. Yuck! Nothing wrong with gates, but a white fence will look so much better.
