Making a commitment

I went with my Mom to visit some of my Aunts today and when I came home I found this:

Starting the farrowing house

Daryl got out of work early today and started to prime the farrowing house. It looks like we’re really going to do this! The white primer on the shed looks so weird. When we’re walking through the house and look outside, we’re definitely doing one of those double takes on it. The primer went on pretty even and it didn’t take a whole lot either. Which is good! So tomorrow I’m planning on either priming the south side or starting to paint the west side. I haven’t made up my mind yet. I think I’d rather prime the south side so when Daryl comes home it’ll be ready to get painted. That makes sense to me.

I did get the white trim painted on the west side of the barn today but I didn’t get a good picture of it. I guess by the time Mom and I got home from town, and then I talked to Kyle in Korea, the sun wasn’t in the best position. Hopefully tomorrow I’ll get a good picture. I laughed today because after I got the trim painted, I was standing in the yard just admiring how good the barn looked when our neighbor drove by. I could see him looking at me and then trying to figure out just what in the world I was looking at. I’m not sure if he did figure it out. But hopefully he wasn’t talking about it at the dinner table this afternoon because I was still standing there when his son drove by later!

Both Daryl and William went to the football game so supper tonight was buttered macaroni. For dessert? Halloween Snicker candy bars.  Not so healthy huh?
