Primer, exterior or interior paint, tinted primer, latex paint, rust stopping paint, …. ahhhh!

Well you can probably tell by the title that I was completely overwhelmed today when trying to figure out what I should be using in the farrowing house. The day started with having a hair appointment this morning and then I figured that I was cleaned up and my hair was curled so I might as well try to figure this paint and primer stuff out. So off to look at paint. Wow. I don’t think I was prepared or in the mood for this today. There was so many things to take into consideration. At one point the poor salesperson said to me, ‘A little overwhelming huh’ I was at the point where I was looking at him and trying to focus, but was honestly just thinking about the chocolate no bake cookies on my counter top at home and didn’t really care at all about the paint that was needed for the farrowing house. But I came back around and do have some good ideas on what we’ll need, so now I’m armed with cost and ideas, the next step is to figure out how much primer we’ll need to get started. I guess we can always go and get more if we run out.
Because I was having a hard time trying to make any decisions at all with the primer and paint stuff, I decided to make sure that I stopped at my favorite local hardware/gift store and see what they had new for fall. I usually never have any trouble spending money there and  I had this 25% coupon burning in my pocket and wanted to use it. I found something for our living room and I hung it up tonight about our TV. Love it! I’m not sure it’s centered on the wall, but for now that’s where it’s going to stay until it gets moved.

I helped Daryl put the dual wheels on the tractor tonight. It’s always scary that one of the wheels could fall on you when you do this, but we didn’t have any trouble tonight. Thank Goodness!

And finally, the cows are really enjoying the corn stalks that was put in their pen last night. Tonight they are just sitting on them and watching everything going on around them. I’m getting closer to having the one cow ‘No Ears’ become more tame. When I hold out my hand with corn, she’ll at least come up to me now and eat out of it. We’re still in the market for a bull for her. Hopefully we can get this figured out soon.
