Kind of a crazy day today so far. I started out the morning wanting to know if a local floral shop still had a bench that I really liked. They were having 50% off, so that made it more in my price range. It’s not the easiest to get there because of some local highway detours, so I decided not to wait for the pilot car on the highway and did my own gravel travel. I think the way that I took was longer than if I would have waited for the pilot car! Well I got there and found out that they really must do a good business because tons of stuff was gone – which included my benches. I guess it just means that I didn’t need them right?
Then I headed over to the Amish with our trampoline tarp. It was getting some holes in it and I wanted to see if it could get repaired. Mr. Yoder said that it wouldn’t be a problem and when did I need it? I asked him when did he think he could get it done? He said probably next spring. For some reason that seemed like a long time for such a simple job, so I told him that I needed it for sure by March 1st. I guess we’ll see if it gets done.
Then off to the hardware store to get some feed to mix in with the corn when Daryl ground feed for the cows. I met Daryl coming into the store when I was leaving and said that he was in town because he broke a piece off the combine and they didn’t have any in at the implement store. They were going to have someone deliver the piece in the afternoon. So for now, Daryl is broke down when I’m writing this, but expects to be up and running within the hour when they get the part.
Tonight is the big night that my sisters and I will be working on the Extreme Makeover house in West Union. Excited to see what we’ll be helping with. They’ve been having really good weather for this (a little windy but at least not raining!) and tonight should also be a good!
