Fall day

I tried to paint a couple of times today and didn’t have any luck at all. I did a bunch of errands and some house stuff in between the rain/drizzle and just when I would be ready to go outside – it would start to rain again. Finally at 2:30 I gave up. I decided that maybe tomorrow will be better so I kept working around the house. Now Daryl had much better luck. He came home early from town and was able to work on the north side of the barn. He needs to build a couple of doors for that side and repair some boards, and then he’s pretty much done with all the repairs that is needed on the farm.

You can sure tell it’s getting closer and closer to fall. When William came home he did a big loop in the yard and when I asked why he drove around by the bins he said that there was so much stuff in the yard it was just easier. Seriously I think it was really an excuse to race around the yard, but he didn’t hit anything so that’s no big deal. But knowing how it goes for the fall, the yard will only get more crowded with the machinery.

The machinery is starting to gather in the yard – ready to go out into the field
