MSP here we come! Twins Baseball Game – Friday night

Daryl had gotten baseball tickets for the Twins game  for Friday, so the plan was that we had to leave our house at 3:00 pm to make this work. Well, I got home around 2:50 pm from work,  and luckily I had my clothes laid out so I literally could switch what I was wearing and walk out the door. And to be honest….that’s exactly what I did! By the time the car was brought up front in the yard, Reno the dog was locked up, the chickens locked back in the coop, the cows fed, and everyone in the car – we had one minute to spare as we were driving out the driveway. It was 2:59 pm.  So like I said, we knew that getting to the ball game was going to be close, but we did find our hotel in time, and as we were walking through the Twin baseball stadium, we found ourselves stopping to listen to the Star Spangled Banner playing on the trumpet just as the game was going to start. Now not that I’m an expert on ball games, but in the past we’ve always hear someone singing, and only hearing the trumpet playing it tonight was pretty cool. Soon we found our seats and we just knew we were going to have fun!20130816_200341_resized Nacho’s were calling my name, and the only thing that I would have changed is that I found out that you could literally get a bigger size of nachos in a regular size baseball hat! What?? So I got the Super Sized nachos and I was wondering what you would call them if you ordered them in a hat?  ‘Headed to the park nachos?’ (Everyone’s a comedian!) The Twins didn’t play that well, but it was still a great time. The weather was around 80 degrees when we got to the park, and we all agreed that at the end of the night, all the running around really paid off !20130816_190315_resized We usually only get to one or maybe two games a year, and I was sure glad that Daryl, William, Jude, and I was able to get to this game tonight.
