It’s official – I started to paint the barn today and it’s really soaking up the paint. It seems like I didn’t make much progress, but I still painted 3 gallons of red paint. William was out and about taking pictures, and took a picture of me painting. Later I’ll try to figure out how to add some pictures of the farm that’s not included in the blog. I ended up going to the hardware store this morning to pick up a paint pail. I never would have thought that I would ever buy a paint pail, but the dogs have gone on a mission to find every ice cream pail that we owned and ate them! So I bought a pail. Crazy I know, but it’s kind of nice. It’s a lot sturdier than the other ones that I was using. I also splurged and bought a paint pail hook for the ladder. And that’s a nice addition also.
While I was painting, William was working on a wagon that he’s going to use for the small metal stuff he’s bringing back to the junk dealer. The wagon really gave him some trouble. He took the wheel off to get it fixed in town and found out that the rim was too rusty. When he came home, he found another wheel in the machine shed that would work. But after he put some air in that tire, it also leaked but the rim looks good. So tomorrow he’s going to bring that tire to town and get it fixed. As you can see in the picture below, he’ll need to also replace the wood before he uses it. He fell through the floor once and is ready to get it replaced.
