We’ve been wanting to go to the dinner theater with the boys for some time now, and we decided to go to the cities yesterday afternoon. We went to the Chanhassen Dinner Theater in Minneapolis. The weather was good, and what we found out was that the kids could get student tickets plus each could buy a guest ticket and it would only cost about 1/4 of the cost. Score! So the boys took us out for the night. We saw the show, ‘Bye Bye Birdie’ and it was great. We never had just gone to the theater before to see if tickets were available, and after driving for over 3 hours, I was sure hoping it was the right decision. And it turned out perfect.
We only had appetizers at the show and so on the way home we tried to find some place to eat. When we saw a fast food sign, we pulled off the interstate and headed for some hot food. But when we got into there it was the most bizarre food place ever. It was a McDonald’s but the manager was having kind of fit. She was like yelling at her employees just about everything. But mostly on all the food that they were out of. So when we went to order, we were told all the food that they were out of and that they were also out of salt and ketchup. Obviously their supply truck was late. So even though the food was not the best that we’ve ever eaten, it was the most memorable experience so far in a McDonald’s that we can say!
So tonight we exchanged our gifts in our family and now we’re heading over to my brother’s place for a small get together. Then tomorrow it’s Christmas. It’s crazy how fast it comes and goes isn’t it?
