Hay bales and lists

I started out the day making a list of what I all need to get done in the next month. With Thanksgiving only a little over 2 weeks away, I need to get organized. So I was feeling pretty good about everything…. well until tonight. I got my first Christmas card! It’s the truth. I have to admit, when you get the first card it kind of gives you a sense of panic. So now, I’m really thinking that I better kick it up a notch, or I’ll never get everything done that I want to! My plan? Tomorrow I think I’m going to make new lists.

In the mean time, my brothers were busy hauling round stalk bales from the fields by our house. They baled them the other day, and today was the day they were moving them to their farm. Now I know they’ve done this way too many times to count, but they really have this down to a science. First they put them in rows that will fit on their trailers, and then one by one the trailers came to have the bales stacked on them and then off they go. I don’t know just how long it took, but I do know it wasn’t very long to get the field cleaned off.
