There always something to do on the farm, and it also seems like the cows are always hungry. When they are hungry, they stand by the gate and wait for someone to walk outside in the yard so they can let you know that they want more corn or hay. I laughed when Daryl was getting them another bale of hay because they just stood there in line for him to get it out of the shed. They were trying to be patient, but it didn’t take too long until they were trying to get in the shed with the other bales of hay. I wanted to film Rion running through the yard when he sees that you have an apple or some corn so I charged up my recorder to film him. But I guess I didn’t check to see if there was any space left on the recorder to do the actual filming. So Daryl was waiting to film and I started to call the cows. Around the corner of the barn they came running and then Daryl said – ‘It’s not recording’ Oh well, I just hope I can get him filmed running to me before he gets sold. It is just so funny!

Daryl also wanted to see if he could get the some plowing done today. It rained some last night so he wasn’t sure if it was going to be too ‘greasy’. Before he was able to go out in the field, he had to change a tire on the plow. Yup! I have lost track how many tire issues that we’ve had this year, and the worst thing is that we just expect it now. But he did get out and was working up some ground for the fall.

While he was out in the field, I was working on getting some flowers pulled up. They were looking pretty sad in the flower boxes and since I had a fire going, into the barrel they went. They’re not burning too good right now, but after awhile maybe they’ll start to burn. I’d throw them in the pasture, but I’m afraid that Rion will eat them and then do the bloat thing again. I also had ran some errands yesterday and when I opened up the car this afternoon it made me smile. It’s funny how you can have Chicken feed, Dog food, and Christmas lights in the back of your car and it’s just another day going to town to do errands.
A little bit of everything in the car today
I’m also attaching a funny picture that was taken last night. We had girls night out and we had a good time. I usually want to make sure that my pictures look a certain way before I post them, but for some reason I really like how this picture turned out and it’s a long way from being a perfect photo.
