Reno – a little bit spoiled

It’s been a week since Apollo has been missing and we’ve all come to the conclusion that he’s not coming home. We’re not sure just exactly what happened to him, but now we’re spoiling Reno probably more than we should. Take a look at where she took a nap tonight. It was funny last night, Daryl asked ‘Why is there straw in the house?’ Then he walked into the living room and saw Reno laying on the blanket. I’m thinking that if she stays on the blanket, it’s no big deal. I only had trouble with her a little bit. When she came into the house, she thought that the couch looked a lot like the benches on our front porch and there’s where she went pretty fast. But she did listen really good when I told her she couldn’t stay there, and now I’m thinking she’s liking this house thing pretty good.

I had the ambition to switch out my spring/summer clothes with my fall/winter clothes. This is something that I definitely need to be in the mood for, and tonight was the night. It was also about time. Last weekend when I got home from Minneapolis and was going on the boat ride with my sisters and Mom, what I originally planned to wear wasn’t going to be warm enough. So I grabbed the storage bags that I had my fall/winter clothes in and just kind of ‘dumped’ them onto a cedar chest in our bedroom. I told Daryl if some reason that someone would see our bedroom, I would just hate it.  So I switched out the clothes tonight … you know,   just in case.

The weather is supposed to get bad the next couple of days. The last that I heard was that it’s supposed to get really stormy and we could get hail, high winds, and even tornadoes. Not cool. It was late tonight when I took all the furniture off the porch and put it down where it wouldn’t be so windy just in case we did get a storm. I also moved everything else that I could into the Roadhouse. Our porch furniture is old and is also really heavy, so I’ll have to store it later this weekend. But for now, it should be fine where it’s at and I sure hope that we won’t get the bad weather they’re predicting.
