Heading North for a couple of days

I think I’ve got everything packed for my annual trip with the girls to go to the cabin. We leave this morning, and even though we’ve been doing this for around 30 years, I still second guess what I’m bringing. This year the forecast for up north looks like it could be colder than normal. (Weird weather) The forecast at the nights are for low 50’s and even 40’s. That might be OK for night time because then we’ll start the fire in the fireplace and heat up the cabin. But with no electricity and no running water – taking showers in the lake could be a little bit chilly! I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens. But until then, William is on the watering duty for me. I asked him to water the flowers and garden and then to do the chores. He’s in a musical production on this weekend and it sounds like he’s also going to have the cast party at our farm. The Roadhouse will work out just perfect and they can start a campfire for later that evening. All he has to do is to vacuum and make some maidrites and he should be set. I hate to miss his performance, but it just wasn’t going to work this year. But I better go – be back in 5 days!

Bags packed and ready to go
