First of all, I couldn’t believe that we planted the garden and didn’t plant any peas in it! So I had to do some errands this morning and I was able to pick up some seeds. I was kind of surprised that they still had some – but you know that Hardware store that I go to has just about anything that you want! So I squeezed in some short rows into the garden and then watered everything again.
OK, so I’m not sure if we are one of the cleanest people around or one of the messiest! I spent a good part of the day cleaning the house, and I thought.. come on. Can we really mess this house up so fast? But then I thought that maybe it really wasn’t that bad and I must be getting really picky. So in the afternoon I moved out to clean the garage and then it all came together for me. I know now that we are NOT that clean family and it was about time that I got into the garage to get it swept and organized. What’s next to clean? I’m anxious to tackle the old milk house. My sister is getting the windows that are being stored in there, and then it’ll leave me with a small shed and tons of opportunities! Not sure how I’ll decorate it yet, but I do know that I want to store lawn stuff in there.
I then tried to mow the lawn and I ran into all sorts of bad luck. You know when you want to get something done and then right when you’re starting… something bad happens. For me it was the mower died in the first 20 minutes that I was using it. I must not have been in the mood because I just left it on the lawn and worked around it with the push mower. When Daryl came home from picking the rest of the rock on the bean field he helped me get it started again. What happened was that the safety thing was unplugged under the seat and it messed it all up. But after Daryl started it again, between the both of us we were able to get most of the lawn mowed, and I just love that it has headlights on it because I really needed them tonight. I wanted to get more mowed, but I think I was lucky to get as much mowed as we did. Tomorrow night I want to finish the rest of it, but I think I’ll have to wait and see how my luck holds out!
I think we may have a new lawn mower expert up north.
Sounds like you are getting a few mower lessons from Daryl:)
Do you have any old cream cans left? I remember dragging those big stainless steel milking buckets to the milk tank in the milk house.
