The kids going around the bend
The boys, Alli, and I, spent the day on the river and was it ever nice! I didn’t even listen to the weather forecast because I knew that this is probably the only day that we could go. It was really windy at our farm (I know – surprised aren’t you!) but once we got on the Upper Iowa river, the wind wasn’t bad at all, and on some spots it actually pushed us. I just loved spending the time with the kids and you know the saying that the housework will wait, but your kids growing up won’t. Today was a perfect example of that. I’m sure glad that we went and didn’t care about other things that we should be doing. I had just the best time in the world. And the night ended up with a bonfire. Nice.
