You know when you’re doing something and then something goes bad and you think…. it just can’t be true can it? Well that’s what happened to me today. I was transferring the slides to this computer and all of a sudden the computer screen went black. I thought to myself that there is no way that this just happened! And I’m pretty sure that I even said it out loud. I know that I’m using borrowed time with this computer, but then I thought that it can’t die yet because I never backed up all the slides that I’ve got stored on it. So I was trying to keep my cool and think that it’ll just start up again, but it wasn’t working. It has to be plugged in all the time because the battery doesn’t work anymore, but after checking the outlet, the adapter was still on. Then I checked the computer and it was still plugged in. I tried to restart it and still couldn’t get it to work. By this time I was literally starting to sweat. So I thought to myself … check it again! After I rechecked everything, I found out that I was looking at the scanner connection instead of the adapter connection in the computer. Once I plugged it back into the outlet, I was up and running again. But how stupid of me not to have backups of these pictures. So tonight I’m putting them on my external hard drive that I have. William said that I can store up to 40,000 pictures on it. I’m pretty sure that I’ll have extra room on that external hard drive when I’m done with all my projects. Well, at least I sure hope that I will!
Other stuff happening is that Kyle is officially done teaching his class in South Korea. He should have already left for Canada to visit his friend. Since he’s 15 hours ahead of us, he is hopefully there right now. He was supposed to send us his itinerary on his flights, but he must have gotten too busy packing to send it. We’re going to skype with him and his girlfriend on Sunday night. This will be the first time that we’ll talk with her and I’m anxious to find out that everything went OK with his travels and have a chance to finally say hi to her.
