Funeral, Corn, Hay, & a Wedding

The title says it all doesn’t it? Well we did all four of these things today and it’s still early so who knows what else we can do. We had a funeral this morning, Daryl’s first cousin died and he sang for the service. He said it was fun to see a lot of his cousins that he hasn’t seen for awhile, but it’s just too bad that it takes something like this to have the occasion to get together.
Then Daryl really wanted to get our corn done. He was so close but the Coop is full and so are our bins. I think he said that he only had one more round left. Pretty close.
As long as we had sometime before the wedding tonight he went out to rake up some hay. He cut it the other day and thought we’re not out much if we couldn’t get it baled. So if he rakes it today, maybe it can be baled later this week.
If you remember awhile ago I was making beef sticks. I think they turned out OK but no one is eating them. I guess I’m going to stick to making beef jerky instead. At least I know that that will get eaten.
To finish out the night we have a wedding. It was sunny most of the day today and the wedding we’re going to had a private ceremony outside before the reception. The weather was really nice only a little wind. I think they lucked out because it could be really cold and rainy in October!
