Hay and Beans – Sounds kinda like a soup or something doesn’t it? Well it’s the furthest thing from it! We’ve had trouble figuring out the weather and when to cut and bale the last crop of hay. It needs to be done before the beans gets harvested. With the weather looking a lot like this lately
that usually means trouble. But we haven’t had much rain it’s just been cloudy and humid. So finally the hay got cut and tonight Daryl had got it raked up.
Hopefully we’ll be able to get it baled tomorrow night. When I picked him up after it the hay was raked, we spent some time getting the auger all lined up on the small bin on the farm that we work. So with the soybeans getting close, hopefully we can get the hay baled tomorrow after work!
Here in mid illinois the farmers started bringing in corn last week and today I saw the first one bringing in beans.
