Stormy night

When I was driving home tonight I noticed that the weather was changing. And this time of the year, that’s not usually a good thing.

So as I’m driving up our road I could literally see the clouds just rolling above me as I was headed home. I pulled over along the side of the road and snapped a couple of  quick pictures.

Now I’m not claiming to be any type of meteorologist or anything – but I’m pretty sure that this isn’t what you would call a ‘good cloud’.

It’s been about 3 hours since I took these pictures and it’s still rumbling outside. And someone somewhere must have got hail because the air is really cold when I stepped outside. I’m hoping that we’ll just get by with some thunder tonight a small shower. Well keep your fingers crossed! It might be a long night!

i don’t think you’re in kansas anymore, toto! ’tis the season for storms. around here, it’s just rained and rained and rained. almost every day we get anything from a shower to a thunderstorm. the beans look downright sickly. all spindly and wierd. the corn that was planted early seems okay. and then there are lots of fields that haven’t been planted at all because the farmers can’t get in them.

That’s terrible news! That sounds like us last year and it just makes you almost sick doesn’t it? I hope it turns out OK. Only wishing all the farmers the best no matter where they farm.
