Fate

One year ago I was flying to Mexico for the last time for my work. It seems more like a million years ago! I didn’t even realize it until I just sat down with the newspaper that came today and started to look for a job. The weather is changing and soon I’ll have all the painting done so it’s time to get a little bit more serious about this. So today I thought is the day to start looking and just when I opened the paper the phone rang. I figured it was a telemarketer but caller ID said it was a cell phone. I recognized right away who it was when she said hello. It was a former co-worker who went with me to Mexico. She said that it was one year ago today that we were on the plane for the last time. So I think it was fate that both these two things happened at the same time. I haven’t had a chance to talk with that person who called since we lost our jobs and isn’t it kinda weird that both these things happened on the same day and same time. I guess it’s telling me that I need to kick it up a notch and get the painting done and get back out in the workforce. yuck
The wind today was about 8 million miles an hour and I decided that I was going to paint no matter what. I stuck it out and even though rain clouds came over and sprinkled a couple of times – I kept painting. One time it really looked like we were going to get a pretty good shower and the cows ran into the shed, but then the sun came back out. I was able to get most of the east side of the barn done with red and since I had red paint out I started on the south side of the cattle shed. I thought I heard another baby kitty in the barn so when I was in there looking for her I heard this really strange noise. You know how you stand really still and think to yourself that you should know what this noise is? Well that was me. Then all of a sudden I figured it out. It was the cows rubbing off the new paint on the barn. When I went out there the two cows who were innocent just stood and looked at me …. but the guilty one started walking away. When I got closer this is what I found

Bad cow
