Daryl bought more wood yesterday and his next goal is to get the barn all fixed up to be ready to paint. He’s done so much work so far on all the buildings fixing and replacing wood. I hope to have the cattle shed done by the end of next week and then we can focus on getting the barn done. The silo shed that’s hooked on the barn isn’t the best and it’s going to have to get rebuilt. It’ll have to all be torn down and then start over with all new wood. It sounds like a lot to do, but it will sure look nice when it’s done.
Fixing the east side of the barn
Our new chickens haven’t been laying too well so Daryl also built a small ledge for them to stand on to go into the nests. I think some of them are finally figuring out the reason why it’s there, but a couple of them just like to stand on it to look cool!
