The bike ride continues

As the week goes on, the weather continues to be fantastic. Last year the weather was so terrible that you could hardly breath. And this year you almost need a jacket at night. Just crazy! Well by now we’re getting into a grove and have been able to meet up with most of our friends. We usually have chances to see them during the ride and then we might see them at night when we go uptown and check out what’s going on in the overnight town. One of the unique things that we saw in one of the towns was this water dunking station. When you hit the button, the toilet flushed and drenched the poor person underneath. Now you know that’s pretty funny! As the week goes on, your appetite continues to grow and I’m finding myself being hungry more often than not. This morning a pork tenderloin and a Diet Coke is the breakfast of Champions. And another morning’s breakfast was Dutch letters and raspberry pastry- Yum! One of the things that I make a conscience effort to do is to remember where I put my bicycle when you stop in the towns. As you can see, there are thousands and thousands of bicycles around,  and as the days kind of melt into each other, you have to remember where you parked your bike. If you would forget – not cool. So I usually use the trick of putting it by someplace that is different and that I’ll remember it. Check out this great location!
