Well, we’re finally going to cash in our coin collection, and it’s so heavy that you can’t carry it without worrying about breaking the bottom out of the container. Whoo Hooo!! Now this collection started a couple of years ago, and the intent was to use it for any upcoming vacation. With the busy summer that we had last year, we weren’t able to go too far last summer, so it was able to grow for two years. In the past we usually have a contest to see who can guess how much in the jar, and this year the contest is on again. And the best part is that the closest guess gets to keep $25. William’s guess is $744.86, my guess is $803.24, Kyle’s is $200.01 and we’ll have to catch Daryl when he gets home to see what his will be. I don’t think he’s such a big fan of the contest – but maybe that’s just because he hasn’t won yet. I’m just saying…
OK, so this jar has been in the works for a couple of years, and it’s there if you need some coins to wash the car, or if you need some quick change to stop off and get a pop at the local gas station, or whatever the reason is. Sometimes there’s bills in there, but for some reason they don’t last too long.
So what are our plans to use this money? The plan is to use it as spending money while we’re in New York. I think when you cash in coins it kind of seems like free money doesn’t it? We’ve got most of all our expenses paid for already, so it will be used on fun stuff. I guess we’ll see how much fun stuff we’ll be able to do tomorrow when William brings it into the bank. I can’t believe that he’ll be too popular at the bank do you?
