Painting today?

Today I had the day planned and it included painting the front door. After 8 months talking about painting it, I finally convinced Daryl that it would look so much better, so I didn’t want to waste any time getting it done. I went to my favorite hardware store to buy the paint and when the owner found out what I was doing, he said he really didn’t want to sell me any paint. What? Why not? He said that even though the weather was in the 50’s, it still wasn’t warm enough to completely cure it. After I gave it my all to convince him, he said that I really shouldn’t paint – so I left without any. With my day messed up, I decided to spend the time organizing our Christmas stuff and doing some baking.
When I did the chicken chores this morning I found the biggest egg that we’ve ever got. Now I’ve seen quite a few double yolk eggs on the farm – but nothing ever as big as this one. I looked around to see if any of the chickens looked like they were walking just a little bit ‘funny’ but didn’t see any. Check out the difference between the eggs below.
