It’s FRIDAY! WhooHooo!!!
And not only am I excited that it’s Friday, but tonight we’re doing something fun and heading down to Cedar Rapids for a play.
See every month we have fun activities planned with Ma and this play was something that we were supposed to do a couple of months ago but it was rescheduled because of the rain and possibly flooding that Cedar Rapids was expecting this summer.
So tonight was the night that it was rescheduled to and after picking Ma up around 4:00 we headed to my sisters and then off for a quick bite to eat before meeting up with others. And the quick bite to eat ended up being at Pizza Ranch and I think I’ve got a new favorite pizza – Macaroni and Cheese pizza. Sounds gross but it’s really good!
Now this is a great way to spend a Friday and with our bellies full, we found ourselves sitting in the beautiful auditorium waiting for our other sister and brother in law to join us.
The play was about Ole and Lena winning a cruise and they actually even gave away a cruise that night to someone in the audience. We all had plans of what who would go on the cruise when WE would win , and well I guess that wasn’t in the cards for tonight because they didn’t draw our number.
We had a really good time and stopped to take a picture of us before we headed all back to our homes for the night. Even though the monthly trips are supposed to be for Ma’s Mother’s Day gift, I think us kids like it as much or maybe even more than she does.
