Well if you guessed that we bummed the whole day on Sunday, you are the winner! We had our church supper on Saturday night and even though the last count of tickets that were sold was around 150 for the supper, it still takes as much effort to plan for 150 as it did for 300. And poor Daryl – because he’s a nice guy he’s been asked to help more and more on the committee that I’ve been helping with. But he does a great job, and he’s always there to help someone if they need it. What a good guy to have around! 🙂
So back to Sunday. We were kinda tired of being in the committee mode and so we got in our car and drove north. OK, so North from our place could mean many things but for today it meant heading to Harmony Minnesota to check out the antique store. With the craft show literally a couple of weeks away, I wanted to practice on how my table is going to look like. Now this is probably a really crazy idea for those of you out there that are good at this, but for me it’s kind of a necessity. So we were checking out the store and came across a couple of really good ideas. And just a note: When I’m watching the tv show where they take old stuff and repurpose it to different stuff, and I’m not thinking Daryl is watching. Well I couldn’t be more wrong! He had some ideas that I didn’t even see that we could use. But I ended up getting a few pieces that I’m going to see if it looks OK, and if they do I have to repurpose the one to make it fit better with my overall design.
Now that my supper is over at the church and our town book is coming along nicely, I’ve got time to think about my soap and I’m getting pretty excited! I thought today that I haven’t even made soap for probably about a month now and I better think about making some more soon. After the craft show I’ll either have a lot left over and if you’re on my Christmas gift list you’ll know what you can expect (I’m just saying..) or I’ll need some more. I guess time will tell right?
