We are ready for a PARTY! We were busy on Friday, but everything is done. Lawn mowed and trimmed, Roadhouse cleaned, windows washed both Roadhouse and House, house cleaned, floors scrubbed, got groceries, food made, tables cleaned and set up, pictures ready to go, and a wagon ready for a ride in the country. At the end of the day, I was tired. It was 10:00 pm and I told the kids that I was going to go to bed. And I guess when Daryl came home from and anniversary party that he sang at, he was wondering where I was. It was early, and my goal was to just lay down and rest for awhile. Yea, didn’t happen. When I woke up during the night, I thought I should get up and do something. But there really wasn’t anything to do, so I just went back to sleep.
I was teasing Mariel (Kyle’s friend from New Jersey) that it’s too bad that we didn’t have to pick rocks while she is visiting us. But check out the photo below!
We needed this wagon because Daryl can put sides on it for a hay ride. So we ended up taking the rocks off this wagon and putting it on another. I know not the most efficient use of our time, but it worked. William pulled the wagon home, while Daryl got out the old tractor and filled it with gas. We want to use a smaller tractor to pull the wagon. I hope the weather holds out so we can do some of these fun things. But if not? We have my sisters pool table/ping pong table, bean bags, cards, TV, and games, all ready inside. The Pop and Beer is in the coolers and the food is in the crock pots, so I think we’re set. Let the fun begin!
That wall looks great. Some awsome memories there.
Thanks Bruce, you should come by and see it in person sometime 🙂 We’ll have some cold Summer Shanty to drink while sitting by the fire.
